I believe it’s practically tradition to perform a ‘Hello World!’ upon entering a new language/system. Every other post made before this was labelled ‘test’ or ‘my-test-post’ and 100% will not make it to the end published site.

Goals:

• Blog more - Writing is an important skill, similar to spoken word that forces us to cement or complete a thought rather than leaving it ephemeral
• Be more productive
• Start my own #quantified-self journey (I already have some idea of how I wish to store/access this data). This for less of a my-data-forever reason, and more of a who-am-i-and-how-do-i-work adventure
• Provide output from what has previously been a fairly insular life
• Rely somewhat less on the centralised internet structures that society has gathered around. A personal site that people aren’t algorithmically fed is a step in the right direction
